Under California law, when an employer requires an employee to work a split shift, the employer must pay the employee a split shift premium. The split shift premium payment must be at least one hour’s pay at minimum wage in addition to the employee’s regular pay for that shift.

If you believe you and your co-workers are working more than one shift per day, and are not paid a split shift premium, contact us online, or at (310) 556-9687  to see how we can help.
